About EE:STW

150_BDS2826The EE: STW program is a partnership involving the New York State Middle School Association, the New York State Education Department, The Statewide Network of Middle-Level Education Liaisons, New York State United Teachers, and the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform.

The Mission of the EE: STW program is develop, identify, honor, and nurture schools with middle-level grades that are academically challenging, developmentally responsive, socially equitable, organized and structured for continuous improvement and exemplars of the implementation of the New York State Education Department’s Essential Elements of Standards-Focused Middle-Level Schools and Programs.  For over a decade, we have been recognizing and celebrating middle-level schools that have met our criteria and achieved excellence.   At present, there are 27 schools currently designated as EE: STW schools…
